Homemade Fruit Smoothie Bowls

Homemade fruit smoothie bowls are healthy, easy, and vegan. I love that they are versatile and make a great meal, especially on hot summer days.

Equipment

  • Vitamix (or any blender)

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 Cup Almond Milk You can use your favorite dairy-free milk and use less milk for thicker consistency.
  • 1 Banana
  • 1 1/2 Cups Tropical Mixed Fruit
  • 3/4 Cup Cherries
  • 1/2 Cup Blueberries
  • 1/3 Cup Protein Powder I use orgain (1 1/2 scoops)
  • 1 Tablespoon Ground Flax Seed
  • 1 Teaspoon Cinnamon

Instructions
 

  • Pour 1/2 cup of almond milk into your Vitamix or blender (use less milk for thicker consistency)
  • Add in all your frozen fruit
  • Add your protein powder, ground flaxseed and cinnamon
  • Blend till your desired consistency. I like a creamy texture like ice cream.
  • Scoop into a bowl and enjoy!

Notes

To freeze my bananas for smoothies and or banana bread, I peel them and put in a freezer safe ziploc bag.
You could use dairy-free yogurt instead of nut milk for a really creamy and thick smoothie bowl.
